Celebrating the arts as member in two prestigious art clubs and committee at my condo where we are establishing a gallery to showcase the works of many fine artists who are residents of the building.

Women’s’ Art Association of Canada (WAAC), celebrating 130 years of service to our local arts education community. Two hundred members strong, our group functions promote various fundraising activities. The main activity is running the beautiful gallery at 23 Prince Arthur Street.  I work on the luncheon planning committee this year.

At WAAC we work together, artists and non-artists alike to raise funds that provide  significant scholarships to advance the education of young artists in music, dance, drama and visual art.

Organized summer studio for member artists who joined me and shared skills using printing press to prepare innovative collagraphs.  So exciting! I am presently preparing 3 pieces to submit to the upcoming show.

Don Valley Art Club ( Since 1948, DVAC) involvement with plein air painting committee and weekly artist demos and workshop participant. Always learning and growing in my ability to express in mixed media. Participating in Sunday afternoon portrait drawing and painting and November weekend workshop “Cold Wax and Oil with Laura Culic” Preparing 3 pieces to submit to November show.

Developed arts education curriculum. Lifelong supporter of education in the arts. Worked with several arts education philanthropic organizations over the years.

Card shark. Serious weekly duplicate bridge player though foremost a social player. Successful player if fun is taken into account. Top ranking with partner Grace sometimes but we always try hard and keep learning and developing our strategy.

Active alumni member of Toronto Catholic Principals and Vice Principals Association.

Active alumni member and supporter of University of Toronto. Contributing to advancement at Boundless, University of St Michael’s College, OISE and Hart House.

Formerly avid tennis player for 25 years when I was more agile. Love to watch tennis matches on TV.

Gym and pool fitness regularly.

Member of Ramsden Park Dog Owners Association. Daily visits with 5 year old black mini poodle Lily of the Valley to doggie off leash at Ramsden Park and Craigleigh Gardens. Joy to see her chase the frisbee and bring it back (sometimes).

Walk walk walk with Lily around downtown where I have lived for a long time.

Former sailor. Great memories! Lots Of photos.

Traveller. Longing to return to London. Maybe next year.

Film buff. Annual participant in Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and member of Bell Lightbox. I have a 20 film daytime package and I get to select my films on Tuesday. Can’t wait!
